Compares implementation of forms setup on ScriptServer®
For OpenVMS and the ScriptServer®
PAN Printing System (PAN).
The following table compares the differences in handling between ScriptServer For OpenVMS and ScriptServer PAN.
In both cases, the form image starts with an Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) file. On PAN, there is no intermediate processing step after uploading the image.
In both cases data registration is controlled with an interface which allows the setting of font, font size, margins and so forth.

It has come to our attention that some customers who have been using software forms with ScriptServer For OpenVMS for several years or longer have misplaced their original artwork, or it is in a format which is not readable by present-day illustration applications (GrayMatter retains copies of most of the EPS artwork it has generated for customers).
If you don't have your original artwork, but you have a working ScriptServer
For OpenVMS software form, there is no need to panic! The EPS2FORM
utility creates a wrapper around the EPS file which can be edited
off of the module which is loaded in the device control library without too
much difficulty. Contact our technical support staff for instructions or assistance.
The ScriptServer For OpenVMS manual and ScriptServer PAN online documentation provide the most detailed information on the concepts and practices mentioned above. Additionally, these technical memos may be helpful:
