Downloading ScriptServer for OpenVMS
The ScriptServer® Printing System is distributed in two OpenVMS
savesets, which are installed using the standard OpenVMS installer,
VMSINSTAL. The first saveset contains the minimum files required
for installation on all three hardware platforms: VAX, Alpha, and
Itanium.
The second saveset contains the documentation, and is not required to be present at installation time.
They may be downloaded here:
** Important Note **
If you transfer the savesets manually using FTP, they must be transferred in binary ("image") mode. To enable binary mode, enter IMAGE in your FTP client before transferring the files. After they have been transferred to your VMS machine, you must set the file attributes so that they can be installed.
To set the file attributes, use the SET ATTRIBUTES command on the savesets, as follows:
$ SET FILE/ATTR=(RFM:FIX,MRS:32256,LRL:32256) SCRIPTSERVER060.A
$ SET FILE/ATTR=(RFM:FIX,MRS:32256,LRL:32256) SCRIPTSERVER060.B
You can verify that the files transferred correctly by performing a BAKUP/LIST
operation on the savesets after setting the file attributes, e.g.:
$ BACKUP/LIST SCRIPTSERVER060.A/SAVE
