Highlights of what's new in Version 4:
Release as Editions
PDF Broker software is now released in three separate editions: Desktop, Standard, and Professional. A comparison of the three editions is available here.
Archiving
The PDF Broker now supports archiving in addition to the email, copy to folder, and batch command file execution dispositions. The contents of archives can be browsed using the new PDF Broker Archives application, which is licensed free of charge. The contents of archives can be browsed from and Windows (2000 and later) computer in the network using a network share.
TransFormat™ Support
The PDF Broker now supports TransFormat-based projects. TransFormat support allows you to redesign reports and business documents without changing the software that generates them. Using TransFormat, you can define the locations of data on the page, re-map its location, and render it in different fonts, colors, sizes, and alignments. It also lets you render the data as one of several barcodes.
Data Lookup
PDF Broker 4 adds the ability to import comma-separated value files (.csv) into a database for subsequent data lookup operations. A central use of the new data lookup feature is to return an email address to be used as the destination address for an email.
Static PDF Attachment
You can now specify a second PDF file to be attached to outgoing emails on a per-router basis. For example, this allows fixed documents such as Terms and Coditions of Sale to be attached to an outgoing invoice, without having to make the Terms and Conditions a part of the original print file.
