ScriptServer® for OpenVMS foreign queue support allows a queue to "point" to another queue so that when ScriptServer is done processing the file, another queue can deliver the file to the printer. If a job is printed and gets processed by both the ScriptServer queue and the execution queue but nothing comes out, it is likely a problem with the /PASSALL qualifier. By default, ScriptServer sends the job to the execution queue with the /PASSALL qualifier to prevent it from reformatting the job. This causes a problem for symbionts distributed with the Interconnections software package used for Novell Netware and the Multinet TCP/IP software. To prevent ScriptServer from sending the /PASSALL qualifier with the job, define the logical:
$ DEFINE/SYSTEM SSV$queue_FOREIGN_PASSALL FALSE
Once defined, the ScriptServer queue should be stopped and restarted to cause the logical to take effect.
Note: ScriptServer logicals can be placed in the configuration file SCRIPTSERVER:SSV$CONFIG.SSV instead of defining them in the SYSTEM table.
