Automatic Screen Generation: XENTIS/Edit automatically creates maintenance screens for your files. All you have to do is enter a file name. Each screen can add, change, list or delete data. Screens can span multiple pages on your terminal, providing uncluttered, simple-to-understand access to large and complex records.
Easily Customized: Each XENTIS screen can be customized. You can move or remove entry fields, add video attributes (bold, underline, double-high, etc.), text instructions, graphic boxes and highlights, With XENTIS/Edit it's easy to create data entry screens that complement your current information systems.

Input Validation: XENTIS/Edit ensures your data is entered accurately. Edit validates entries to fall within a specific range, match a pre-defined pattern, or contain a minimum number of characters. You may allow only uppercase entries, and even define input default values to streamline data entry.
XENTIS/Edit will even compare entries with other data files, or unique lists of valid values. For example, Edit can require invoices to be entered only for customers established in your customer file.

Dictionary Security: XENTIS/Edit honors all security restrictions defined in VMS or in the XENTIS/Dictionary. A single screen can grant update access to one user, view-only access to another, and no access to a third.
Audit Trail: XENTIS simplifies researching and resolving system problems by providing an audit trail to monitor all changes made to a data file by XENTIS/Edit. Information is provided on who, what and when changes were made to each record.
