Overview
XENTIS/Model and XENTIS/Word provide seamless integration between your corporate data- bases and the most popular productivity software available. Both modules allow the power of office automation tools to be applied to your corporate databases.
XENTIS/Model and XENTIS/Word allow you to extract, format and analyze information without the involvement of computer professionals or programmers. These tools also eliminate error-prone, redundant data entry.
Modeling and Analysis
XENTIS/Model gives you the ability to extract information from your corporate database and format it for use by OpenVMS- and PC-based financial modeling programs including Microsoft Excel, Lotus 1-2-3, 20/20 and many others.
Flexible Selection: XENTIS/Model provides the same data selection power as XENTIS/Report. Data can be extracted from one or more files simultaneously. Record selection can be based on values, ranges and calculations. Selections can be as simple or complex as you require.
Data Extracted: Data can be taken directly from your corporate data base or can be transformed by calculations you define. Numerical, date, and text calculations are supported. In addition, with XENTIS/Model you can create your own data column headings that move with the data.
Accumulation: Detailed data can be summarized during extraction. This greatly simplifies analysis when using an electronic spreadsheet.
User-Defined Output: XENTIS/Model lets you select, and even customize, the format of the output file. If one of the standard formats provided with Model does not meet your needs, just create your own.
Word Processing Integration
XENTIS/Model and XENTIS/Word provide integration between information in your corporate data base and most popular word processing packages, including WordPerfect and Microsoft Word.
List Processing: Any information from your corporate system can be extracted for use in your word processor. XENTIS can help produce dunning letters, marketing letters, new product announcements and many other documents. Data you extract is not limited to text, such as names and addresses. You can access numeric values and balances, status information, or any other details you wish to include in a word processing document.
Flexible Selection: You have complete control over what data is selected. As a result, large extractions can be done in increments so that you'll get only the data you want.
Simple
Both Model and Word employ the same three-window user interface familiar to XENTIS/Report users. This easy-to-use format provides immediate familiarity and ensures instant results.
Secure
XENTIS/Model and XENTIS/Word both honor all XENTIS data security checks. Users can select only the data they are privileged to access. In addition, they cannot corrupt your corporate data base by extracting, modifying, and replacing invalid data.
