Bar Code Interface
XENTIS/Report can also generate bar codes within a report. It allows you to format and print reports and labels that display bar codes - with equipment you already own.
XENTIS' bar coding module, X-Bar, provides you with all the tools necessary for you to generate reports of your own design that will display bar codes on the printer you already own. You don't have to develop custom programs or purchase expensive equipment to get the advantages of bar coding. You won't even have to learn how to use new tools. The one you already know how to use, XENTIS, will do it for you.
To print bar codes on XENTIS-generated reports and labels, all you have to do is tell XENTIS which data elements are to be displayed as bar codes. XENTIS will automatically generate your report and convert the appropriate data items for bar coding. When you print the report, bar codes automatically appear.
Printer Compatibility: X-Bar works with a wide range of industry-standard printers. You don't have to purchase an expensive, special printer to print bar codes with X-Bar.
Bar Code Formats: X-Bar generates a wide range of industry-standard bar codes. Among them is the postnet bar code used by the U. S. Post Office. Streamlining mailing, including the use of postnet, bar codes when doing bulk mailing, has the potential of saving companies hundreds to thousands of dollars. Supported Printers: Epson 9 pin printer, Epson 24 pin printer, IBM Proprinter 9 pin printer, IBM Proprinter 24 pin printer, Toshiba 24 pin printer, Okidata Microline Standard printer, HP LaserJet 150 dpi printer, HP LaserJet 300 dpi printer, HP DeskJet 150 dpi printer, HP DeskJet 300 dpi printer, HP PaintJet 180 dpi printer, HP LaserJet 150 dpi compatibility mode, HP LaserJet 300 dpi compatibility mode, and any PostScript printer (requires ScriptServer printing software).
